An Ideal Learning Environment

Fantasea Dive’s personalized service is the ideal environment for learning, whether it’s your first time underwater or your first time doing a decompression dive. We will guide you through your underwater adventure at your own pace, making sure that you are safe and comfortable, from the swimming pool to the depths of the ocean.

We start your course with the confined water component in a pool, before taking you to a beautiful private lagoon with a barrier reef which is about 5ft deep before taking you out to open water. We also use this lagoon to teach discovery divers the essential skills they require for the dives, and non-divers can also snorkel this lagoon and reef which is full of fish and other marine life.

We have been teaching people to dive since 1994 and offer a range of beginner courses starting from introductory dives and PADI Open Water Diver to more advanced courses including Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver and Divemaster. All courses (except discovery dives) reward the new diver with a new lifetime certification level which can be used to dive just about anywhere in the world.

Our PADI Instructors have patience and understanding, and know what it is like to try diving for the first time. We have taught hundreds of people to dive, some of whom were initially apprehensive about it, or had tried diving before and not liked it, but because we are a private and personalized service and are not trying to rush a large group through training, instead moving at YOUR own pace and comfort level, even the most apprehensive potential diver has finished their course with flying colors having thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

We also offer specialty courses like underwater photography and videography, as well as the Enriched Air (Nitrox) diving specialty. Enriched Air (Nitrox) is a valuable specialty certification to attain especially if you dive frequently or are planning on doing a liveaboard dive safari or several consecutive days of diving. Being able to dive with Nitrox has enormous advantages including reduced chance of decompression sickness, increased no-decompression or bottom time and less fatigue after diving. It only takes a little theory and 2 dives to attain this valuable specialty certification, and if you complete your Nitrox certification with us we will provide you with 2 for 1 pricing on Nitrox tanks whenever you dive with us!

Most of the courses, especially the Open Water Diver Course, require some classroom time and theory, thanks to technology and the internet you can complete much of this theory at your own pace prior to starting the in-water portion course with us.

If you want to maximize your time in the water during your course you can complete the theory portion of the Open Water, Advanced Open Water and Nitrox courses online with PADI e-learning which means after a quick quiz to review the knowledge you attained during the online course we jump straight into the water.

Beginners Courses

Discover Scuba 2 tanks Ocean Dive: $120
The PADI Discover Scuba Diving program is for those to have the chance to experience the thrill of scuba while under the watchful eye of their instructor. We start in a swimming pool learning a few necessary skills you’ll need while diving in the open ocean. After the pool, we’ll take it to the Sea for an incredible reef in about 7-15 m deep! This half day course does not receive a license.

PADI Scuba Diver : $260
The PADI Scuba Diver course is a 2 day course where after a little theory and pool training, you’ll be ready to make your 2 required open ocean dives. You make dives to 12 meters, giving you the certificate of Scuba Diver. With this certificate you must make dives with a diver of Divemaster rating or higher.

PADI Open-Water : $375 (Optional - $100 additional for PADI eLearning)
This is like the Scuba Diver course, but 3-4 days with some more theory, pool work, and 2 more ocean dives. With the PADI Open-Water license you will not only be able to dive without a PADI Divemaster or higher being present, but will be able to purchase all equipment associated with diving including high pressure cylinders (tanks). In this course we go own to 18 meters. In super clear water, you can easily see the surface at this depth. It’s a little like flying!!

Advanced Courses

Once you’ve got your basic certification, now you’re ready to check out all sorts of different types of diving. Some of our specialties that we offer are Nitrox, Deep, Wreck, Wall, Night, Computer, Underwater Photography & Videography and Cavern/Cave diving.

PADI Advanced Open-Water : $295 (Optional - $100 additional for PADI eLearning)
The PADI Advanced Open-Water course exposes the diver to 5 different specialty areas of diving. There are 2 mandatory dives required to receive your Advanced rating...that’s a deep dive to 30 meters and a navigation dive where we use compasses to swim patterns underwater. The other three required dives can be from any specialty area you chose from wreck diving to underwater photography. Regardless of the specialty, all specialized equipment is provided at no extra charge.

PADI Rescue Diver: $375
The PADI Rescue Diver course is a 3 day course where after a little theory and pool training, you’ll be ready to make your 2 required open ocean rescue scenarios, testing your learned abilities in real life situations. This course will strengthen your confidence levels in handling not only your own problems, but the problems of others comfortably and without stress.

PADI Divemaster Course: $1,000
This is an internship for those who want to not only learn how to handle clients, guiding them, and sorting out their problems both on the surface and underwater, but boatmanship, equipment repair, and all other aspects of working in the diving industry.

These days in a busy tourist area where there is great diving and a lot of tourist diving, so much is expected from a working PADI Divemaster. It is necessary to know more than the next person when employment or more importantly ... peoples lives are at risk!

At Fantasea Dive we stay current and up-to-date in the constantly changing rules and guidelines of the industry, insuring you are trained with the latest information available making you readily employable in anywhere in the world.

You need at least 60 dives logged to enter the program and it can last from 4-8 weeks, depending on how fast you want to go through it. 6-8 weeks is about the normal length of the course. At the end of the course you must have at least 100 dives logged.

Long term accommodations can be arranged with sufficient prior notice but are not included.

Speciality Courses

EANx Basic (Nitrox) Course: $225 (Optional - $100 additional for PADI eLearning)
Find out why more divers, are switching to enriched air for diving. This beginner level Enriched Air (Nitrox) course will introduce you to the methods of safely using, blending, checking Nitrox, as well as maintenance of oxygen equipment. Some of the benefits of using enriched air include less chance of decompression sickness and less fatigue after diving. It’s simple - the less nitrogen in your blood stream the less chance of having a nitrogen related problem from diving. After some theory and 2 enriched air dives, you will receive the PADI Enriched Air Nitrox Diver rating.

Underwater Photography Course : $175
Join one our photography instructors in two dives, using either digital or film cameras. This is a basic underwater photography course introducing one to the techniques used to capture those great shots while using a simple underwater camera.

Underwater Videography Course: $300
Learn to shoot underwater videos like the Pros!!! In our 2 day course, you will gain hands-on experience using and maintaining digital underwater video cameras, as well as, video editing and production of YOUR finished DVD. The first day you are in the water making two dives with your video instructor collecting footage.
