Jason Sartain

Growing up on the Gulf Shore of Alabama, Jason started diving at age 12 - everything;from lakes, quarries, rivers, wrecks, barges, collapsed piers and;rubble to the reefs on the shore of the Gulf from;Texas to Florida;as well as the springs surrounding the area, if there was water around you could be sure Jason was underneath it;exploring.

While studying at the University of Alabama Jason's diving exploration expanded beyond the Gulf to various parts of Florida and to the place he would eventually call home, the beautiful Mexican Caribbean.  After completing his studies Jason moved to South East Asia where he worked as a dive instructor / cruise director on Peter Hughes "Komodo Dancer", a liveaboard based in Bali, Indonesia, before eventually creating his own company Dive Trek.  Dive Trek offered liveaboard and land/air dive safaris on all the Indonesian Islands from Bali to Timor, in addition to which Jason also worked as a dive guide and instructor out of Koh Toa (Gulf of Thailand) and the Phi-Phi Islands (Andaman Sea).

After the tragic bombings in Bali in 2002 Jason decided to move his business and passion for diving closer to home, landing in the Riviera Maya to dive the turquoise blue waters of the Mexican Caribbean once again.  With great walls, reefs and wrecks, not to mention the cenotes that are exclusive to the area, Jason contends that the diving here is as good as anywhere in the world - and he has had the opportunity to dive some of the most spectacular places on the planet.
